Check redirect function gives false result

    Using plugin ver. 5.0 on WP ver 5.6.
    I tried the “Check redirect” function (never tried it before) and found that it gave the result:

    Expected: 301 to /my-page/
    Found: 403
    Agent: Not using Redirection

    I then tried to access the URL to be redirected via a browser and found that the redirection worked as required. I also checked the access log for the web server and found the expected entry showing the redirection of the URL.

    I tried the “Check redirect” function on various redirections and always had the same result.

    So, either there is a bug in the plugin or:

    • the function is trying to access my site from an external IP address (if so, please give me the IP address range) that my .htaccess is prohibiting; or
    • the function is using a loopback which, I already know, is not working on my site; or
    • something else

    Any ideas what is happening?
