I found the -webkit-appearance:checkbox; fix, but it doesnt work. The checkboxes still do not show up in chrome. This is really very bad. Please guys, if there is anyone having a solution here please let me know.
    Thanks so much

same problem in firefox for me.
    I’m searching the solution

I’m also noticing the same thing with radio buttons — they show up in other browsers, not in Chrome. Running Win7 Pro, works on Firefox and IE, not so much in Chrome.

    @foxhounds – I can’t see a CF7 form at the link you supplied.

    Hey guys,

I fixed with by putting some lines to the code “-webkit-appearance: checkbox;”instead of -“webkit-appearance: none;”

This fixes the issue with these google chrome checkboxes ??

    Best,
    Hubertus

@mrl4n & @timkjr – I use both checkboxes & radio buttons in CF7 forms on many different websites and several different servers and they all work fine in Chrome. Any issue you have is almost certainly due to something on your local WP install.

If you are unable to solve your particular problem, you should in your own post (see Forum Welcome) describe your problem in detail – see https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Forum_Welcome for some guidance.

If possible include a link to your CF7 form and all your input in the Form section of the CF7 interface.

@foxhounds – If this resolves your question, it helps others contributing here, if you can flag your post as [resolved]

I am having the same problem with both radio buttons and checkboxes. They do not appear in Chrome or Safari on a Mac.

They do appear in Firefox; however, the button or box appears centered in the line above the label.

    Test page is here:

It’s possible that this plugin conflicts with the contact form built into the theme. If someone can see this, please let me know and I’ll contact the theme author.

I tried Foxhounds’ solution above and it didn’t work. I will appreciate whatever help anyone can give.

@catenacreations – As per the Forum Welcome, please post your own topic.

Posting in an existing topic and taking over the original posters question is generally considered inappropriate.

Added to which, your problem – despite any similarity in symptoms – is likely to be completely different.

In every forum, usually, two same posts are prohibited for some good reasons.

Are you the new secret administrator??

@buzztone: I was completely taken aback by the rudeness of your response when I saw it this morning.

I can’t tell much from your profile except that 1) you have not been designated by www.ads-software.com to be the “comment police” and monitor people’s “manners” on the support forum; and 2) you are selling an expensive plugin that adds pre-designed skins to CS7 forms, so you’re probably trolling for business.

It makes no sense for each of us — myself, @mrl4n & @timkjr — to set up and post a different thread for the same problem. Hence, the FORUM format. If a bunch of people chime in and say “Yes, I’m having that problem too,” then the plugin developer can see that this is an escalating issue, and knows that it’s appearing across multiple sites and platforms. Since we just had a WordPress update and all these posts have come within one week, it’s possible there’s something in the update that’s conflicting with the buttons.

Let’s say we’ve all posted separately. @mrl4n said he’s searching for a solution. Let’s say he figures this out. So is he supposed to search and find ALL the posts related to this, and post his solution? It makes more sense for him to come back to this page and post it here, where three other people can benefit from his answer.

I have posted many questions, and received many answers, on threads where several people were having the same problem. This is the first time I have been rudely attacked for it. Rather than playing “comment police,” I suggest you find another way to promote your business and occupy your time. From what I can see in your profile, you are not an authorized WordPress moderator and you are out of line.

In the meantime, I’m off to figure out an actual SOLUTION that will let me — and hopefully others — accomplish something.

    Hello!

@catenacreations: Okay, then here you go. I *am* the forum police.

Please start your own thread for your problems instead of posting “me too” posts in other people’s threads.

It is fine to post in somebody else’s thread if you’re trying to help them. It is not fine if you’re merely having a similar problem and trying to help yourself.

For one, posting your problem in other people’s threads is a distraction, preventing people from helping the original poster who has the problem.

For another, even though your symptoms may be the same, it is not necessarily the case that you are experiencing the exact same problem. Different problems can result in the same symptoms.

Yet another reason is that if a problem is widespread, having more threads about it instead of one big mega-thread makes the problem more visible, and more likely to be noticed and solved.

And yet another reason is because these forums have the ability to be subscribed to via email. Every time you post in somebody else’s thread, there’s a good chance you’re emailing them too. Spamming other people’s inboxes with your own problems is not okay. Trying to help them is more okay.

Finally, post your own thread because *that is one of the rules of this forum*.

    Thanks!

@samuel Wood: Thanks for clarifying. This is a big change from what I’ve seen in the past. I will no longer post on other people’s questions.
