Checkbox for Woocommerce product review

    Hello!

    I have two questions about checkboxes.

    I have read both of these guides already which were very helpful:

    But some questions remain,
    Under Complianz > Wizard > Cookies > Integrations, the last question is:
    “Disable storage of personal data by WP comments function and consent checkbox. “ –
    I have disabled this.

    So now when, someone leaves a comment, their IP address no longer shows up in wordpress which it used to which is great!

    However, the name + email address are still stored in wordpress and sometimes, if the review contains something we can help the customer with, we reach out to the person who has commented. So this makes me thing we should probably have some type of GDPR checkbox saying that they are approving this? Do you agree?

    If so, is there any way I can add this via your plugin?

    Hi @isabella92,

    The plugin itself does not add checkboxes to the product reviews. But as mentioned in the article, as long as you clearly state that the email address may be used to respond to their review (data relevant to stated use) and the frequency/how often that would be done, then a checkbox would not be necessary.

    Oh okay I see! Thanks for your reply, that is very helpful! ??

    Would it be sufficient to just state this in the privacy policy, or do we also need to have a text like that next to the product review field?
    Something like: “the email adress attached to your review may be used for us to respond”

    Hi @isabella92,

    I would recommend placing your text next to the product review field as well, similar to the example in our article about the contact form checkbox.
