Checkbox not appearing at checkout

The steps to add the block are the following:

-Edit the checkout page and add our MailerLite block to the checkout block.

-Then select the MailerLite block and make sure Hide checkbox is On. That should add the hidden checkbox and buyers/subscribers should have the proper value for accepting marketing when placing an order.

-Make sure to save/publish.

Thanks, is there a way to do this without block editor? The theme I am using does not allow for much checkout page editing.
