Checking in on viablity or alternatives

I need something EXACTLY like this. I’m hesitant to use it given that it hasn’t been updated in 5 years. I started working with it and so far nothing has gone awry. I’m curious if anyone is using it anymore and if it’s stable. Or if anyone has found a more up-to-date options elsewhere? Thanks.
