checking links in the exerpt

Currently it’s not possible but I think it could make a nice feature to the plugin.

I think, though, that it could only be applied to manual excerpts only and not auto-generated ones as those that are auto-generated

– if left as WordPress generates them by default – they get all tags stripped anyway so there’d be no links
– if in any way modified by theme, some plugins or some custom code – could probably be “unavailable” to Broken Link Checker

But if they are added manually then I think we could add a feature in future to check them. I’d rather not make promises at the moment but I’ve suggested it to our developers already.
