Currently, without any information about it, Stop Spammers checks the password field (No idea why, or how that would be useful besides preventing access to people). Can we do anything to stop that from happening, and if we can’t, is there an alternative on how to deal with such a situation (Obviously removing the blocked items is not an option.)

  • By default, Stop Spammers checks all fields indiscriminately.

There are millions of variables at play here, different kinds of websites, different forms, different fields, different bots, different spammers, etc.

Maybe a dumb bot or a bot that comes into contact with a strange form format, tries to spam the password field with:

    Buy Viagra!

Or some cheeky spammer uses a password like:

    spammingcialistopeopleisfun!

Maybe this requires more discussion, but it seems to be extremely rare that real people use spam words in their passwords. It might be more beneficial to advise the user to use a better/stronger password.
