    Hi there,

We’re running into an issue where the credit card labels are showing as the wrong language (Italian) instead of English for the Woocommerce checkout block. The labels show fine for the classic checkout shortcode, it’s just an issue for the block. The site is set to English (US) as the primary language and we haven’t ever run into this issue before this morning. The rest of the checkout block is showing English, just the WooPayments/stripe credit card labels.

Any ideas how to get the labels to show as English? We’re also finding the credit card number/type is not validating and highlighted in red while in this state.

Just an update.. we rolled back woocommerce and woopay: woopayments is 8.0 instead of 8.2 and woocommerce is 9.2.3 instead of 9.3.3. With this change we’re no longer seeing Italian labels. This was a strange issue and not sure why it was randomly showing another language.

    Hi @davidboutin,

Sorry to hear about the issue where the credit card labels are showing as the wrong language (Italian) instead of English for the WooCommerce checkout block.

This is quite unusual. I tried replicating this from my end using the checkout block, but was unable to see a similar issue.

I understand rolling back seems to have solved your issue, but I’d like to inform you that we recently released an update to WooPayments to version 8.4.0. Do you mind taking it for a spin and letting us know if you’re able to replicate the issue using the updated version? Here’s a direct link to the updated version.

You can test it out on a staging site to avoid making changes on your live site. Also, be sure to have a backup in place before proceeding with the steps.

    Looking forward to your reply.
