    Customers can add all the product they’d like just fine. When you go to the shopping cart to checkout the payment portion just circles.

    I have deactivated all plugins to determine if any were causing the issue – still same problem. We are already using Storefront. No settings have been changed since last person made a purchase – but some plugins have updated. We only use PayPal currently.

    We need an assist since this is our donation via product purchase page.

    A spinner usually indicates a plugin or theme conflict – you were on the right track by disabling the payment gateways. From here, the best thing to do is disable everything except for WooCommerce and switch the theme to [Twenty Seventeen](https://www.ads-software.com/themes/twentyseventeen/) – that’ll tell you if it’s a conflict. From there, you can slowly re-enable the plugins until you find the one causing trouble.

    I’ll be happy to check and see if there are any indications of what else is going wrong – can you please send me a link to a product that I can add to the cart? All of the ones I tried were “not available”.

    I switched to Twenty Seventeen, disabled every single plug in except WooCommerce – and still not able to pay.

    It’s good to upgrade if you can, but PHP 7.1 is fine for the moment.

    Your server does not have the SoapClient class enabled – some gateway plugins which use SOAP may not work as expected.

    Depending on the gateway, this can cause trouble during the payment process. It won’t cause a spinner at checkout, though.

    When I take a look at checkout, the spinner is over the shipping information and subtotals, so PayPal is available:

    I suspect this has to do with the shipping method that’s generating those prices – do you know which shipping plugin and/or method you’re using?

    I’d also like some more insight into your site’s setup. Could you please share a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status.
    Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.? Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.

    You missed the second response

    Now a new error to add to the nonpayment.
    SyntaxError: JSON.parse Error:Invalid character at position:1

    Clicking through PayPal and back to the page gives this error so PayPal does not process.

    I still need help with this error.
    No changes from most recent reply other than WordPress just updated to 5.0.
    Printful is where the shipping rates are coming from but deactivating that plugin does not allow the checkout to work.

    This is happening because there is an index.html file here: https://www.scer-ga.org/index.html and the server is misconfigured and serves that HTML as a default. This means that WooCommerce doesn’t receive a JSON response back from any AJAX calls.

    You can either remove the index.html file or contact your host and ask them to prioritize index.php over index.html

    Its highly possible your answer is correct but the index.html has been there long before Woo (as in always since that’s our main page) has and it was working over the summer.
