Checkout error–empty cart

I am using the 4.5.5 version of StageShow because when I upgrade, it breaks my website with a fatal error to where I cannot access my dashboard. That is a separate issue and not why I am posting.
I can set up my show just fine and can activate the tickets, but when I add a ticket (or multiple tickets) to my cart and try to checkout, it returns a red bar with the error “Cannot Checkout – Shopping Cart Empty” for each performance. In other words, there is something wrong with the PayPal gateway and it isn’t transferring over. I’ve confirmed in the Payment Gateway that my PayPal information is correct.
Any help would be very much appreciated. Thank you!
