Checkout Error with 3.0.0 Update

    On checkout, when you click place order the order goes through it seems, but the page doesnt go to next step or thank you page. It just stays on the checkout page and it gets a 500 error

    .com/?wc-ajax=checkout&wfacp_id=21555&wfacp_is_checkout_override=yes 500

    This only happened if I updated to the new 3.0 square plugin version. When I rolled back to 2.9 it worked fine.

    Thoughts?

  • I also had this issue, and can confirm that rolling back to 2.9 fixed it as well.
    Seems that something is broken in 3.0.0.

    Hey @themassapothecary,

    Do you run into this trouble when only WooCommerce, Square, and the Twenty Twenty-one themes are active? On my test site with Square 3.0, after checking out I’m redirected to the thank you page as expected.

    @3sonsdevelopment no I haven’t tested with default theme yet.

    The problem is a conflict between Woo Funnels & 3.0.0 Square plugin I believe. But there’s never been a conflict between the 2 until this update on Square plugin.

    Thanks for investigating this. Square 3.0 had some significant changes in its structure.

    I would suggest reaching out to the Woo Funnels team and letting them know about the compatibility trouble. You may want to stay on version 2.9.1 until they’re able to take a look at the compatibility.

    You can download a copy of 2.9.1 from the bottom of this page:

    https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/woocommerce-square/advanced/

    Then you can install it by going to Plugins > Add New and uploading it just like a new plugin.

    Let us know how that goes.
