    Hi,
I want to remove the checkout field labels and only display the placeholders (to reduce space). I know how to do this, but the problem is that all placeholders inside the fields are not displayed when the customer enters something into a field(obviously) but then if the customer removes his input, the placeholder does not come back. Is it somehow possible to have the placeholder return if the customer removes his input from that field?

    Thank you!

    Hello @andi0tx,
On my test site using the Storefront theme, the placeholder returns back if I remove the value of the field.

This is what would happen if the placeholder is generated by the HTML attributes. If your theme is adding the placeholder in a different way there might be an issue with that.

This kind of problem is usually caused by either a conflict with your theme or with another plugin.

The best way to determine this is to:
    ?

    • Temporarily switch your theme to Storefront
    • Repeat the action that is causing the problem

If you’re not seeing the same problem after completing the conflict test, then you know the problem was with the theme you deactivated.
