Checkout issues (virtual downloadable products)

    I’m having multiple issues with my checkout process. I’ve looked into this a lot and have seen some people having similar issues and some issues that seem to be unique to me. Keep in mind these are issues I’m having for virtual & downloadable products.

    My first issue has to do with the flow of the checkout process. Currently the checkout process goes like this:
    cart > checkout > cart
    So the issue is obviously that once a payment has been made, it redirects back to the cart and not to a thank you page (also the cart doesn’t update after the purchase goes through)

    The next issue is one that I’ve seen others having issues with. After the order is made, I have to go into ‘Orders’ and manually change the order status to “complete” in order for the customer to receive their e-mail confirmation with the download links in it.

    Ideally I’d like for the process to go cart>checkout>thank you page/confirmation e-mail sent

    Any ideas or is this a Woocommerce 2.1.3 issue for now?
