I’ll ask the person responsible for Google Ads if it’s possible today.

What are your working hours? Can you give a time frame in CET?

    ——————————————

Ok, you can check now. The error is present on the website. Let me know when you finish testing, because we want to disable enhanced mode.

I’ll be online until 7pm, BST @wordpressdatasal. Feel free to temporarily enable Enhanced Conversion Tracking once more, I’ll once again visit your site to check for console errors.

Given it sounds like you can consistently recreate the console error also, please share the steps to recreate, such as any action on the checkout page (after you enable Enhanced Conversion Tracking).

We have enabled Enhanced mode since my last post.

To see the problem, please add something to the cart and try changing, for example, quantity on the cart page.

Then go to the checkout page and see that many functions do not work, for example, shipping fields are always open or changing shipping methods does not work. You can also see errors in the console.

Thanks for sharing @wordpressdatasal. I checked your site once more and indeed I don’t see any errors until I make a change to the quantity in my cart. See this recording. I can see formatting issues also when proceeding to checkout, although it looks like I can proceed.

Can you disable enhance conversion tracking and let me know once this is done? I’ll then perform the same checks. Note that from the checks I performed I don’t see any Site Kit specific issue, with the errors all coming from WooCommerce, however, as stated it could be a multi plugin or configuration conflict as I don’t encounter the same on test sites.

    Enhanced mode turned off.

As you can see, now the quantity in the cart (on the cart page) changes correctly, the additional shipping address fields are correctly hidden, you can change the delivery methods and select a point on the map. And so on.. There are also no errors in the console…

Indeed there are no console errors as you suggested. I went ahead and created a GitHub issue to test this further, adding the insights from our own testing on some demo sites where in our cases we were unable to recreate this. I’ll perform additional tests on a new site today and update that issue.

While we check this further, can you share a recording of the errors as they appear in troubleshooting mode, with only Site Kit and WooCommerce active, with Enhanced Conversion Tracking enabled. I’m aware you already performed this check and mentioned that you have Ads enabled. This isn’t an issue, as in troubleshooting mode the separate theme and disabled plugins will only apply to you as a logged in administrator. You can use a service such as Loom to share a screen recording, while using the same form previously used to share this privately.?

Let me know if you have any questions with the above. I’m doing additional testing on this today also.

Unfortunately, I can’t do anything more at the moment. The person responsible for Google Ads is on vacation.

Not a problem @wordpressdatasal, appreciate the update. When free, please go ahead and perform that check while sharing the recording. This may be useful for the team to review what may be happening in your case. I’ll keep the GitHub issue open in the meantime.

Just to let you know that we plan on an update to the next version of Site Kit, due next week, which will include a fix for this. You’ll find out more on the related GitHub issue, while we’ll also let you know when this is out. Thank you.

@wordpressdatasal Thanks for your patience on this. Site Kit 1.139.0 is now available which includes an update for users impacted by a checkout related issue. Please update to this latest version and let me know if you are able to proceed without any issue. The fix applied in the latest version of Site Kit isn’t specific to the issue we raised, although there were changes made in the previous Site Kit version that may have impacted your site.

As we didn’t receive a response I’ll mark this as resolved. Feel free to open a new support topic if you continue to encounter issues, or reopen this topic and we’d be happy to assist.
