Checkout page refreshing after delivery country is selected

It’s a problem I’m having on a few sites that I use the WP E-Commerce plugin on and it’s becoming increasingly frustrating as it’s starting to cause problems.
On the checkout page, the ‘calculate delivery costs’ option, when you click the drop down, then click on a country, the page then refreshes before you have time to hit ‘calculate’. 50% of the time, the delivery costs will be updated with you selection, the other 50% though, they aren’t (unless you have lightning quick reactions and can hit ‘calculate’ before the page refreshes).
It’s quite frustrating, and my client is losing money as customers are arguing the point it’s not their fault the shipping costs aren’t updating.
Is there a reason for this or way to disable the page refreshing so customers are forces to hit calculate to update the costs?
