Checkout showing empty on Deactivating Plugin

  • Hi, I hope you are doing well.

    I just deactivated and even deleted your plugin from my wordpress installation but my checkout page is blank. Once I only deactivate your plugin, it shows your plugin’s checkout steps in bad styling. This should not be happening. There must be some setting which your plugin modifies which even exist once this plugin is deactivated or deleted.
    I also tried to clear data on wp_options table in “wmsc_options”. It is still not able to work.
    Everything was working perfectly before this plugin was installed.
    Please advise ASAP. This is very urgent.

    Hello,

    the plugin doesn’t modify any settings. The plugin is installed on 10.000+ websites and being maintained for 7 years, but nobody ever had the problem that the checkout page gets blank after deactivating the Multi-Step Checkout plugin. This is not a reproduceable issue on our side. There has to be something more than just “the plugin modifies settings” by itself.

    Your linked website is behind a “Coming Soon” plugin, so inspecting the page also doesn’t help. Would it be possible to see the checkout page? Maybe I could get more information by inspecting the page’s HTML.

    Would you open the “WP Admin -> Pages -> Checkout” page and make sure that the [woocommerce_checkout] shortcode is present on the page?

    Thanks for your quick response.

    I understand, your plugin is not modifying any setting. Sorry for the URL, I could not deactivate the coming soon.
    I will try to look into it in detail my self and let you know here if I am able to resolve it.
