    Hi

I’ve just been alerted to a problem by a customer. When they try to navigate through the checkout it comes up with the “Sorry your session has expired” error. This happens when they hit the complete order button or the proceed to PayPal button.

The two payment gateways I have are Stripe and PayPal.

This seems to be a new issue in the last couple of days (maybe post update) as I have received other orders this week

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi there!

Can you let us know which payment gateway is being used at the time of this error happening, and whether it’s something that you can recreate yourself?

If you can reproduce the issue, it’s likely that there’s a conflict happening. The best way to determine this is to:

    • Temporarily switch your theme to Storefront
    • Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce
    • Repeat the action that is causing the problem

If you’re not seeing the same problem after completing the conflict test, then you know the problem was with the plugins and/or theme you deactivated. To figure out which plugin is causing the problem, reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict. You can find a more detailed explanation on how to do a conflict test here.

    Hi mother of code

Thanks for that. I’ve just tested it myself and it seems to be happening both with PayPal and the Stripe Gateway. I’ve tried deactivating one and then the other incase they are annoying each other but doesn’t seem to make any difference. It just expires the session, refuses to process payment and empties the basket.

Will look at doing the conflict test and other plugins that could be a problem.

I think the problem started with the update to Woocommerce I did 8 hours ago to Woocommerce 4.4.1 as I had orders prior to that totally fine.

    Hi Mother of Code

Thanks for your help yesterday. I have carried out a conflict test and it appears the Mailchimp for Woocommerce plug in is the problem. I will contact the support team there for help but was wondering whether you have come across any of the same conflicts?

Hi @georgiedavies. Sorry we missed your previous response. I hadn’t come across this issue but generally Mailchimp would provide support for Mailchimp for WooCommerce. I hope that you have been able to resolve the issue. If you have any other questions, please start a new thread.
