checkout without iframe

    Hi,
    I’m looking at this plugin while researching for paid members content solutions for WordPress,
    it is an amazing plugin and very open for developers,

    one concern I have is regarding to the checkout page,
    why the credit card information is gathered inside the checkout page and not on the gateway server embedded in the website as an iframe,

    I can see security issues with this way, as the gateway server will be more secure against leaking information such as this,

    what is the reason not to use an iframe element and expose the credit card info to less secure option.

    in Woocommerce the credit card info form is almost always embedded as an iframe connected to the gateway server.

    Hi there, thank you for reaching out to the Paid Memberships Pro team.

    Basic credit card fields are created in the core PMPro gateway class. When Stripe is selected as the default gateway, the Stripe Elements JS Library is loaded onto those fields and Stripe takes over that section.

    While the card fields aren’t loaded using an iFrame, Stripe’s library takes full control of that section to make sure its safe and secure.

    If you’re not comfortable using the checkoout page like this, you can opt to redirect members to the Stripe Checkout page (an off-site page hosted by Stripe) by navigating to Memberships > Settings > Payment Gateway & SSL and selecting the Off-Site Gateway option.
