Cherry Framework, problems with post attachements

Hi, I am currently running the latest version of Worpress, I keep everything updated and using Cherry Framework for one of my sites. I used a child theme for esthetic customization but using Cherry’s basic features, notably the Portfolio custom posts.

I found it odd that after adding or removing images to a portfolio post that was already created, I could not see the images in the post online once published, even though it showed up in the post itself in the editor.

After some digging, I found that these new images were not being attached to the post, not detached when I deleted them. I used a plugin called “
xili re/un-attach media” to see how each image was attached to posts from the media section in wp-admin.

Of course, I can’t test this by switching to another theme as the whole custom post structure is handled by the Cherry Framnework theme.

So has anyone else experienced this problem or would have an idea how to fix the media attachement problem?
