Child and Parent theme

    I want to purchase the Newspaperex theme but it is a child theme for the Newsup theme. my question is: should I purchase the Newsup theme as well? Or is it ok just to order the Newspaperex?

    I did a test to install “Ansar Import” and then import a child theme with all it’s settings, and what happened was this importing everything overwrote and changed all my settings and so the site was completely useless … that is why I uninstall and deleted the theme and came back to what I was using before … but after few days I installed the Newspaperex. I like this theme. and I can purchase Newsup theme but is there any way to use the theme without importing all the settings from your site?

    Or during importing the child theme, is there an option to keep my setting?
