  • Hi BreTweb,

did you create two separate files: style.css & functions.php ?

    Cristian.

    ?? ??
OK that seem to work now
    Thank you very much
I found the mistake because theme file name : pixova-lite
I gived name to the theme child file: pixova-lite-child
    now with pixovalite-child it’s working

    PLease 2 questions:
    – I want to put a logo instead of the company name
    – I want to translate in french but where I put Fr translation

    Thank you a lot

    Hi Bretweb,

    – update to pixova lite 1.34.19 (it allows you to place image logo in site)
    – find qTranslateX plugin and use it for translation ??

    Hi christian

I have tried 2 times to update automaticly the theme but he crashed the wordpress !!!

just now I have tried to install directly on a wamp test wordpress theme impossible to personnalise this goes to a grey blank page with rating area name at the top left
are you aware about this ?

    regards

    Hi BreTweb,

could you send some screenshots with the problem over to [email protected], please ? We weren’t aware of this problem.

What about transferring all the theme settings?
I already customized the original theme using the Customize options and now when I create a child theme, those customizations are not transferred . Can these settings be transferred as well or I need to set it up again?
    Thanks

    Hi newpain,

they have to be setup again. Unless you know your way around the WP database.

    Thanks,
    Cristian.

    Thanks for your answer Cristian,

I am pretty good with SQL, where are the settings stored? Can you point to a link that can provide me documentation about how that works so I can try to transfer them instead of setting up everything from beginning?

I have another question, how can I make structure changes in a child theme, for example remove or re-arrange some html elements?

    Thanks a lot

    Hi,

did you figure this one out ? Sorry for the late reply.

    Cristian.

    Hi,

I researched and found out that I can override all parent theme templates with creating the same one in the child theme and changing it the way I need it, but I didn’t had the time to try.

I have re-applied all the settings in the child theme and transferred all the changed CSS in the child theme, now the only thing left is to find all the modified templates and transfer them to the child theme and update the theme.

Please correct me if I am wrong.
    Thanks for asking ??

    Hi,

that’s correct. You can have a look here: https://docs.machothemes.com/article/34-how-to-create-a-child-theme and learn more about creating a child theme with Pixova Lite ??

Have fun and go create something awesome! ??

I have another question. When I disable the loader, after refreshing a page, the website loads white and then the images are loaded. If the loader is active, it will hide this, but it’s making my site slow and I want to disable it. How can I make the images load so when my website is opened there is no lag between loading the images and no white screen.
    Thanks

    Hi newpain,

sent this to our development team. We’ll address this issue in a future update.

    Cristian.

    Thanks for the support Christian.

No problem, sorry the ticket went without a response for such a long time period. We usually don’t monitor the support forums over here.
