child theme (2012) Creating a 2nd menu for members

I would appreciate any ideas on how to create a 2nd menu in my child theme 2012, it allows for only one custom menu. I have my main menu set there. But I have a member pages within my site & I am wondering how I can create a menu for those pages as I do not want them seen in the main area of my site.

I read to make 2 different menus one for logged in users & one for those not logged in. But I’m not quite sure how to make that work.

I was thinking of making my member pages use the front page template where I can put a widget in the footer as a possible menu area.

I do have the plugin widget logic installed already.

Any ideas? suggestions??
