    Hello, one of my clients has Appointment installed and is using Appointment Green as their website theme. When they updated the theme, they lost some of their customization. Why is this and what can be done about it please?

    Are you talking about there core code customization. yes if you have made any customization in theme core code file they will we lose if you update your theme. let me now in which file you have add your customization so we can help you.

    They customized Appointment Green, not Appointment. If they didn’t customize Appointment, and only customized the child theme, Appointment Green, then it will be ok and they won’t lose changes, correct?

    Yes right but never update your Appointment green theme.

    If you did not want to lose your customised data then never update your customised theme because if you update your customised theme then your theme package will update and your customisation will be lose. we suggest you to add you customised data in Appointment green theme because in this theme only have the color difference so you did not need to update this theme.
