What error message are you getting when you install your child theme?

No theme from https://www.ads-software.com/themes/ contains any sort of “block”. It might help if you defined what you mean by “won’t work”.

No error code – The formatting etc. doesn’t display with the child theme.

Do you mean the styles? If so you need to import the parent theme’s styles using @import before your begin your custom CSS.
