child theme

  • So I’ve been using a child theme of parabola all thru v 1.2.x Updated yesterday to 1.3 and it’s dead. Reinstalled 1.2.2 works fine.

    So my guess is enough of the code was changed on the pages I created as a child theme that it’s broken. I wanted to verify this so that I don’t go through all the changes to bring them up to 1.3 status if there is something else I may be missing that’s causing this.

    By dead I mean, it doesn’t load. I get a blank white screen.

  • Check the server log to get the actual error message.

    Okay, so there is an immense load of information in that log file. Anything in particular I should have my eye out for? It’s about 2400 lines or so for the 20 minutes I needed to shuffle everything around to reactivate and then deactivate the theme (it completely kills wordpress as well so I have to reinstall the old 1.2.2 theme before I can reactivate the child theme.)

    Refresh the site in your browser and then check the last 5-10 lines of the log.
