Child Theme

    Hi: I’m very, very new to wordpress. I created a Child theme from the beutiful Decode theme. Followed instructions from Support->Codex->Child theme, but the site looks different, I know that I have to modify the CSS. Since this is the first time I have used a child theme, I would like to know if I am on the right path before changing the CSS and being completely lost. Pls help!

    Look for ‘Appearance’ in your dashboard, select ‘Customize’.

    There you will find the themes options. ‘Colors’ allows you to choose the accent and text colours and ‘Other Options’ is where you can put your own CSS code.

    When you duplicate the theme, it only copies the theme core files, these custom settings are stored separately in the database.
