• Hi. I activated the child for my theme. All the settings for W3 total cache are inside the main theme. How can I import these settings to be active for the child? I tried an upload, which provided the settings but not the .js and .css files in minify. Trying to add theme gives the message: Duplicate files have been found in your minify settings, please check your settings and re-save.

    Hello @katjavolker,

If css/js is overwritten, and minify mode is manual, you should check what files to remove from minify and add the child theme versions.

Why not just export the w3tc settings (under Performance > General near the bottom is a button) and import the settings into your child theme?

@fistfullofcrisco that is exactly what I did.
@vmarko I did not quite catch that. What do you mean by css/js is overwritten? Am I supposed do remove all the files from the main theme and then put them back into the child theme?

In the minify settings I selected the main theme (which isn’t active) and deleted all the scripts and styles. Saved and purged. When checking back all scripts and styles are still there, which makes it impossible to overwrite the settings for the child theme.
