Child theme breaks site

  • I’ve made a child theme from twenty-thirteen and installed it using the wp_enqueue_scripts method described in the codex. I cut and pasted the code from the codex and didn’t change anything at all. It works, and I can change all the styles from my new style.css file.

    Unfortunately, the child theme has broken:
    ? the post.php page, which is now blank
    ? the grid view in upload.php, which doesn’t load
    ? the customise widget option

    Does anyone have any idea as to what I can do to make this work?
