This is the code I have in my style.css file, which I think I have arranged correctly, it is a text/css file in its own Child theme folder in the Themes folder.
It shows up as responsive theme in my themes section of my dashboard and activates as the responsive theme but without any CSS and I can’t see why! The only theme that seems to load CSS is twentyeleven out of the five themes I have in the dashboard but it doesn’t work to edit it. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong or whether perhaps I should re-install wordpress? I’d be really grateful for any thoughts on this.

    Regards

    Caroline

    – Have you followed instructions of this codex: https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Child_Themes

    – is the folder structure and location of your child theme’s style.css: /wp-content/themes/your-child-theme/style.css

    – Have you actually activated your child theme?

Yes I tried all of those! I still have no idea what I was doing wrong but I have uploaded one from themeid for the responsive theme so all is working well. Thank you so much for your time and help.
