• I followed the instructions at https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Child_Themes
and created a child theme, which I activated.

But now I have a Warning and Fatal Error advice on the site because it seems WordPress is looking for something in the parent theme’s functions.php file (there was no mention of this in the tutorial!)

I want to go back to the Parent theme for the site and start over, but I can’t even login to the dashboard – the wp-admin goes straight to the Warning text.

I would welcome your advice on how to get back to the dashboard and activate the original theme.

    Thanks in advance
    Mike

Fortunately, I’m hosted with Hostgator. I submitted a support ticket and they fixed it in five minutes. I kid you not.
