• I’m having some trouble even after looking this up.

There is a PHP file within a folder (lib) within the parent theme I’m using that I need to move to the Child Theme because I made a change to it. Parent file location: ../parenttheme/folder/file.php

I have tried to move it to two different locations in my child theme, but neither seem to take effect:

    ../childtheme/folder/file.php didn’t work

    ../childtheme/file.php also didn’t work.

Does this method only work for some sub-folders within a parent theme (ie the Template folder)?

    Thanks for the help

  • I have the same question. The code I’d like to revise is in “navigation.php” which is located inside the Parent theme’s “includes” folder.
