Child Theme for Header Ajdustment

Hi there,

I’m trying to create a rendition child theme to adjust the header length in pages other than the home page. I’m wondering if someone might be able to help me with editing the header.php in order to achieve this.

I’d like to keep the home page as is, but with my additional pages reduce the header to about one third of the size.

Apologies for my lack in experience with this – any direction you could provide would be greatly appreciated.
