Child theme needs to keep my custom codes

  • i have created a Child theme from astra child theme generator website.

    But on my main astra themes header+footer+function i have some custom codes.

    On child theme iam only getting function.php file. So what will happened to header+footer custom codes?

    If i upgrade main astra theme will those code will be gone?

    We are sorry for the delay.

    If you add the custom code directly to the Astra parent’s files, it will get wiped off when you update the theme. Add the code to your child theme and you will have your custom code right wherever you add it even you update the Astra theme.
