• Hello,

I had to modify a file at this location:

    wp-content/themes/enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-template-builder/php/tiny-button.class.php

So I created the same path into my child theme with the modified file, like this:

    wp-content/themes/enfold-child/config-templatebuilder/avia-template-builder/php/tiny-button.class.php

The thing is, it only works when I modify the original file, the one at the child-theme is not working.

Can you help me out with this?

    Thanks !

  • Child themes do work like that in some ways, but for your way… it won’t.

The files that are uses in a child theme are the WordPress standard template files. With any other files, such as the one that you’re trying to use there, it’s up to the theme as to how it will work. By the look of it the template builder that you’re trying to modify doesn’t work that way, so it won’t pick up that file in the child theme.

As you’re using a commercial theme, it’s best to go back to the author or vendor for support with things like this. They’ll know how the theme is built and how this could be achieved.
