    Hello,

First I’d like to say that I love this theme. Although I needed to make a few adjustments as I needed to have full posts on the front page instead of excerpts. So I created a child theme and edited the index.php file but unfortunately the theme stopped being responsive although the option is switched on. It looks like child themes are not responsive. Do you have any advice how to fix that?

    Thanks a lot

  • Can you provide a link to your site? It’s usually easier to see what’s wrong if the site can be examined directly. Did you make any changes to your child theme’s style.css file? I’ve seen a case where someone set the width of the main container in their child theme’s CSS file, not realizing that it was overriding the width properties in all of the parent theme’s media queries.

Yes. Here’s the link to my site https://jokes-by-email.com/
No, I didn’t make any changes to the style.css file. I only edited the index.php and archive.php files as I wanted it to show full jokes instead of excerpts.
    Thank you

Hi, please create new folder in child theme named CSS and copy responsive.css file from parent file in to child file.

That’s very helpful. I did that and it solved the problem. Thanks a lot.

Ok, so i’m in the same boat as Rich82 regarding responsive-child home page not being totally responsive. The “Hello World” text doesn’t move under the image in that box. Looks terrible on small screen.

I looked for a “responsive.css” file from the parent file and couldn’t find it. Is that my problem maybe?

Any help would be much appreciated!

    sorry, my site is www.https://saladdressingclub.com

    Thank you!

I’m having the same issue here at https://www.drgreenlawn.smearchydev.com.

the parent theme is responsive and the child theme is not. I am using responsive theme 1.9.7.3 and I copied the style.css from the parent theme right to the child theme. I don’t see any @import in the style.css.

Anyone know how to make my site responsive?
