Child theme not showing any changes at all?

At first I wanted to change the .widget-container so that the margin wasn’t -22, as it shows in the inspector (not sure how that happened to begin with). However I began to notice that somehow, all the changes I would make in the Child Theme would not show up at all. I can override the changes using CSS in a View that I created, but just for the pages that the View is on, not the whole site.
I decided to do a check on my child theme and see if other changes (such as changing the color of the navigation above) would work, and it did not. I have no idea why this is happening and have tried everything in my knowledge (making sure the child pulls up the parent CSS properly, etc).
