• I’m new to wordpress.
I’ve been working on websites using Dreamweaver.

It seems that having a child theme is really a must.
Everyone keeps saying how easy it is. But they never tell you how hard it is to change a simple value on a javascript file. For example, if you need to change the speed of a slideshow.

WordPress works completely different than a simple html website.
I need to create a new functions.php just to change a simple value.
I don’t know PHP, so this is a major obstacle.

Am I missing something? Is there any other way to change a simple value on a javascript file?

    Thanks.
