Child theme not working

Hi everyone,

Sorry if this is a really simple problem, im sitll a bit of a beginner:

I’m trying to create a child theme for “arcade-basic” using filezilla following this tutorial tutorial

I created child directory with a css file, and a functions.php file with all the necessary information (i.e. theme name, template etc). I copied one of the template pages into the directory and it seemed to be working fine. But when I close the browser or try to edit the content the site goes blank, am I missing another file in the directory?
