• Hi…inherited a site from a previous web developer. I’m more of a graphic designer so bear with me if I’m lost.

Had a huge compatibility issue with a plugin and new php version- created the site to lock out. Solved that part and deleted the plugin(don’t really need it anyway)

So the child theme she created on the Hello platform was fine..now its greyed out after all the mess. I looked in the header code and the stock ticker plugin there. Would this mess up the whole child theme?

I’m assuming if I delete that line of shortcode then hopefully all the rest of the info like headers etc should be back to normal minus the black ticker on top?

Just want to make sure I’m doing this correct – any insight would be greatly appreciated.

    its all between div codes

  • A child theme is an individual collection of codes for a specific project. Without knowing these codes, nobody can answer your questions here. If you need help with this, make the codes available somewhere (e.g. on github). Alternatively, you can also find someone here who can support you personally: https://jobs.wordpress.net/
