• Hello, I’m working with a customizr child theme. Everything was working properly until I downloaded the SiteOrigin pagebuilder plugin. The styles I had already added to the child theme stylesheet no longer affected the site. I then immediately disabled and deleted the plugin. That didn’t help, so I disabled all active plugins and still wasn’t able to see any changes. I feel like I’ve tried pretty much everything- disabled plugins, downloaded and reinstalled the child theme (from the Customizr site), and tried using the Add Custom CSS plugin. Under developer tools it looks the style sheet loads after quite a few others (tc_common.min.css, etc). I’m adding styles directly to certain pages because I can’t afford the site to be a mess right now, but this isn’t a long term solution. I would really really appreciate any help or guidance with this… thanks in advance!!

  • Assume you’ve cleared your browser cache?

You said you “reinstalled the child theme (from the Customizr site)” but the Child is on your site, never from the Customizr site. Maybe yu meant you reinstalled Customizr or Customizr Pro?
Anyway… have you looked under Appearance->Themes to make sure your child theme is the active theme. I am thinking maybe you’ve reverted to having another theme as active. (It has happened to me. Momentary panic!)

Thanks for taking the time to reply- I’ve cleared my browser cache, and sorry if I wasn’t clear but I reinstalled the child theme offered by customizr. So I definitely have the child theme activated. I’ve worked with so many WP sites and I’ve never had this issue before… any other ideas would be really appreciated!!

Sorry, I can’t help anymore. If there is a child theme offered by customizr, it’s news to me.
All I know is making your own or using the amazing Childify plugin to make one easily.

    dillo1sa,
Have you checked your live source to see what css files are being loaded?
Also a link to the site in question would really help me help you.

Customizr has offered a basic child theme since 2013. https://presscustomizr.com/extension/customizr-child-theme/
