• I’ve written loads about my issue in the Elegant Themes support forum BUT No one bothers to answer me at all! I’ve written several threads and no answer to any on different subjects ever. This is over many days and weeks and months! All in all I don’t think I’ll renew in May but I digress.

I hope someone can shed light on why my child theme is not sending the .php files to my parent theme when I upgrade to WP 3.5.1 from 2.6.

I have a child.css as devised from WP support on subject but also have several php files I have changed in the parent theme following instructions from other threads in the elegant theme forum. On updating to the latest version of their theme to fix and issue I realised I needed a child theme so went about learning this. (I’m not a coder, I’m visual and a pattern former).

I selected my child style sheet in the options dialogue for Chameleon, the theme i’m using in Elegant Themes and got it to work in WP 2.6 but when I changed to 3.1.5, the .php files are ignored. I tried checking phpmyadmin and checked the hierarchy of files and can’t see what is wrong. If anyone has access to elegant themes, my thread is : https://www.elegantthemes.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=141&t=180576&p=886055#p886055

    Any idea’s?
