• I am trying to find the answer to this question, but I can’t search these support threads, so I apologize if it’s been asked before:

When trying to install W3 Super Cache, I get a notice that says I must CHMOD 777 the following directories:
    – /wp-content/cache
    – /wp-content/w3tc-config

Is this only temporary? After I finish intsalling, can I revert the permissions? Or do they need to be permanently set to 777?
