I enabled the cron version of the plugin on one of my sites, but despite setting it up correctly, it didn’t seem to run. I tried to manually run “process images” using the button on the resmush.it page, and I get the following error in the log:

Got error ‘PHP message: PHP Warning: chmod(): Operation not permitted in ../public_html/wp-includes/class-wp-image-editor-imagick.php on line 686

It looks like a permissions issue, but the permissions are the same on both my sites and the config is the same, so I’m not sure what could be causing this. Any ideas? Thanks!

Ok, so it turns out the optimization is working properly, it’s just that the status page shows two unoptimized images. When I try to run the optimization, it fails on these two images. If I upload new images, they optimize fine.

Is there a way to figure out which two images it thinks need optimization so I can remove them from the dashboard?

It’s ok, I figured out the location of the resmush.it log file and identified and removed the images that were causing the issues.

@lozula where did you find the file?

@hshah If you enable logging, resmushit.log should be in the root of your wordpress install

@lozula nothing there… will try creating an empty one and see what happens ??
