• Hello.
    Just insatlled Word Press. I am trying to edit the template, but it says I need to set the CHMOD to 666.. – but I can;t figure what files to CHMOD, could someone please give me a list of the files which need done?

  • Whichever files you want to edit through the template editor should be CHMOD’ed to 666. You can chmod all the wordpress template files, or just go ahead and chmod them all, so you have the option of editing any file you want thru the template editor.

    You will have to chmod all files you want to edit via the WP template editor. The actual filename is always written above the textarea. If you want to make changes for example to the “Main Index” aka “index.php” you’ll have to go to the directory where WP is installed and “chmod 666 index.php“.
