chmod operation not permitted warning

Hi,

quite a lot of PHP Warning: chmod(): Operation not permitted entries are logged whenever we enable the object cache. It’s this file that is passed to chmod() here in class-wp-filesystem-direct.php on line 173.

Do you have any info for us what we will need to look into to fix this warning and if this could have further implications?

We’re actually trying to debug an error that prevents a client from saving a specific piece of information in a post if the object cache is activated. It’s PublishPress’ multiple authors plugin. If Redis is activated, the authors simple don’t change when edited. They confirmed it works on a similar setup as ours so we’re hunting down the root of the problem.
