    Hi,

I need to change the H3 tag for the Comment title. I did the change in the file
    /htdocs/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/modules/comments/comments.php
I would like to know if there is a better way than change this file.

    Thank you

    Hi @myerrorsandmysolutions

You can absolutely customize comments by using some Custom CSS Code, but I’m afraid assisting with custom CSS is not within our scope of support.

    Hi @bruceallen,

H3 is hardcoded in the code on the plugin, I cannot change the tag so your suggestion to use Custom CSS is not applicable. The Accessibility rules expect that when you have H3 in a page there will be before a H1 and a H2.
I think the plugin should allow to setup if use H3 or a different tag.

    Hi @myerrorsandmysolutions,

Unfortunately, changing the code directly is something we wouldn’t recommend as plugin updates will override those changes.

Comments typically show up on a post or page which should have a H1 tag (as defined by the theme) for the post title and H2 tags in the post content for subtitles and section titles.

I think the plugin should allow to setup if use H3 or a different tag.

If you’re convinced that this is a good change to make, please consider opening an enhancement request on GitHub from here: https://github.com/Automattic/jetpack/issues/new/choose

    Kind regards.
