Choce of right template

  • I am currently using Twenty Ten 1.2 for my photo site.
    It’s fine, but i’m looking for a theme that can let me create a hierarchy of pages without creating a nested menu, as it is now:
    in my menu i have the portfolio menu item, and if you click on that a scroll down is opened with some submenu items and for some of them there are sub-submenus (portrait/classical portraits).
    If now i click on portrait a page is displayed but no access to its submenu options.
    I’s like to have something like: select portrait on the menu – access to the portrait page, where three (as an example) thumbnails are present, with the gallery name. By clicking on the gallery name or the thumbnail you go to the subpage (say portraits/classical portraits).
    Which theme can let me do this?

  • There are heaps of WordPress themes designed specifically for portfolio / photo websites with the functionality you listed above, so it’s difficult to give specific themes.

    Otherwise have a search on Google for portfolio wordpress themes, photography wordpress themes etc.

    thank you for your answer. what kind of functions do i have to look for?
    i have tried some themes, i.e. Fotofolio Landscape, Photoria 1.1.2, Twentyten, iFeature 3, and i have not found a way to do what i meant.
    With Photoria i can have something similar not with pages but with posts: a gallery (say classical portraits) is a post associated to the Portrait category. In the main menu i assign the category Portrait as a menu item, so that when a user click on portraits the thumbs of all the posts associated to portrait category are shown.
    Is there a way to do this with pages?
