    Choice + Ad Inserter Plugin

Blocking ads until consent a user has given consent. See the “How to show ads based on visitors’ consent?” section in their help documentation here. Showing you how to whitelist consent cookies such as the Google Advertising Products Cookie (euconsent-v2[vendor][consents][755]=1) and you also have to Make sure you have Dynamic blocks set to client-side insert – TCF v2.0 based cookie needs to be checked client-side (in the browser).

    * If you are still seeing 1.1 errors, you may also need to whitelist euconsent-v2[purpose][consents][1]=1 to check for Purpose one consent as well.

Note: Ad Inserter has added some specific guidance related to Quantcast Choice on their help page, but any instructions pertaining to TCF v2.0 on should also be relevant for Quantcast Choice as we are a TCF v2.0 compliant CMP.

Please make sure you have attempted to follow the blocking instructions provided by Ad Inserter (see above) before reporting Google 2.1a and 1.1 errors here.

@xtnsele, and this are some examples with DATES at ADSENSE error Excel list (keep in mind that we have about 36 active ads for all our websites, and only show some at errors list, but if it is a 1.1 error “not having the Google Cookie”, I think the error would be in all our ads, not just in some):

    1st NOVEMBER:

    Unknown,5709707279,1.1,20,26/10/2020
    Unknown,5007494534,1.1,20,27/10/2020
    Unknown,2946746906,1.1,20,26/10/2020

    4th NOVEMBER:

    Unknown,2946746906,1.1,20,26/10/2020
    Unknown,6861109443,1.1,20,30/10/2020
    Unknown,4160312574,1.1,20,30/10/2020
    Unknown,5007494534,1.1,20,27/10/2020
    Unknown,5709707279,1.1,20,26/10/2020

    6th NOVEMBER:

    Unknown,6861109443,1.1,20,30/10/2020
    Unknown,4160312574,1.1,20,30/10/2020

The only thing that gives me to think is that ADSENSE is not running very thin, given this latency of errors ??

    Hi @ibiza69,

are you using the latest version of Quantcast? i had the same error message when i was using version v16. The errors disappeared with v17.

    ibiza69

    (@ibiza69)

    Hi @boothby, thanks!

We have always latest version, as Quantcast updates it behind, now we are running the v21.

Good morning @xtnsele, again checking the errors, Adsense seems crazy:

    7th NOVEMBER:

    Unknown,4160312574,1.1,20,30/10/2020
    Unknown,6861109443,1.1,20,30/10/2020
    Unknown,5007494534,1.1,20,5/11/2020
    Unknown,1988888454,1.1,20,5/11/2020

    8th NOVEMBER:

    Unknown,1988888454,1.1,20,5/11/2020
    Unknown,5007494534,1.1,20,5/11/2020

And all this, without doing anything in our account and/or config, just letting Adsense show update daily errors…

    boothby

    (@boothby)

    Hi @ibiza69,

i mean it’s not that bad. That looks pretty good. You have only 20 (40) error messages in one day. This is of course not optimal but also not extremely bad. The number sequence “1988888454” and “5007494534” is definitely not the number of errors! It’s the number for the Ad blocks.

    ibiza69

    (@ibiza69)

Good morning @boothby, I know there are only few errors and know that those long numbers are ad codes. But how can adsense say for example on 4th nov that there are five ads with errors, then on 6th two ads with errors, then on 7th again four ads with errors, then on 8th two ads with errors… And we have the same config as a month ago, that we had no errors at all. It seems that adsense is not working properly..

    (@xtnsele)

    Hi @ibiza69 ,

Sorry about the late response, if i don’t logon to this email, i don’t get notifications.

These Adsense messages are getting weird to me.
    – it could be these errors are Adsense specific errors and you cannot do anything about it.

Just ignore the errors for a while and see what happens. Adsense is very slow in updating issues (queries) like this.

Please try to compare all settings (configs) on all sites and please pay attention to typos. This can be very negligible.

Wish i could help further! Please if anything changes, please share.

    xtnsele

    (@xtnsele)

Can Ad Inserter wrong configuration impact revenue?
    – Adsense revenue is really getting poor! Whenever i optimize, it increases and now I do not know what to do.

    Any advise?

Good morning, could a charitable soul please help us review the configuration of our implementation framework?

We achieved approx. a month and a half ago that all the errors disappeared from Adsense, but then a couple of weeks later they came back and we can’t find a way to remove them.

We are getting those 1.1 errors about: No consent or legitimate interest has been granted to Google as a provider.

We have our Google Ad Inserter Pro Cookie placed in all our ads individually:
    tcf-v2[vendor][consents][755]=true && tcf-v2[purpose][consents][1]=true, tcf-v2[gdprApplies]=false

We have too included Google as a Non-IAB Vendor at Quantcast, as they said: “As you might have known, Google is joining TCF v2.0. Before Google joins TCF v2.0 as an IAB vendor, you need to set up Google as a non-IAB vendor within your Choice portal”
So we created this: https://prntscr.com/vrpd8c (Do you have the same? Maybe our problem comes from this config?)

We would really need someone to help us review the settings.

Thanks in advance for any help and time dedicated.

Thanks I’m in contact with Quantast that is giving me a hand.

@rbaronqc : Suddenly all my ads disappeared today morning. Was there any update from quantcast which causes this? Kindly let me know.

@spacetime : Suddenly all my ads disappeared today morning. Was there any update from adinserter which causes this? Kindly let me know.

@spacetime Even in my site also ads suddenly disappeared. Can you please check into it? I didn’t do any changes from my side. Thanks in advance.

Yes, same here, since 5 AM (GMT+1) ads dissappeared, and since I have GA code inside Ad Blocker Pro, website visitors dropped 10 folds…I have 1/10th of what I had…

When I insert GA code outside Ad Blocker, directly in header, all visitors are there.

EDIT: I see there was a version update during the night, to v24.

It would seem, that switching back to v23 in Quantcast Choice solves the issue. But you need to clear browser cache.
