Choose Events in Query Loop Block

Perhaps a dumb question, I am not much of a developer and I am just starting to use Events Manager.

I’m setting up my site on WordPress.com and using modern wordpress for the first time. I’m kind of an old head but it’s coming to me slowly.

I would like to have a block of upcoming events on my home page and I’m trying to use the Query Loop block which is used in my Theme – Cultivate – to show recent posts.

That block lets you choose Posts or Pages to display. I was hoping that when I created Events with Events Manager that they would show up too. But no.

I think this should be simple so I assume I’m just not looking in the right place.

I do see the WP Events block but that doesn’t find the events either.
