Resolved Sirv CDN and Image Hosting

Previously, the “Featured Image from URL” plugin permitted images from the Sirv image library to be selected. See the screenshot below. This was a really useful way to add automatic responsive and lazy loading images from a Sirv library.

That button no longer shows when selecting an image. Can the button be added again, if the Sirv plugin is installed?

Old times…

It was removed because I thought sirv had implemented its own solution for featured images. Am I right or you still depends on FIFU?

Sirv depends on FIFU for embedding an image from a URL.

I tried to insert the button again, but it’s not working with Gutenberg. And it’s partially working with the Classic editor. WordPress (and FIFU also) changed a lot in the last years. I will contact you by email.

Hi Marcel,

The FIFU and Sirv plugins have both been updated so that you can now see the “Choose Sirv Image” button again. Please try it and let us know how you get on.
